My Summer: Peak District

After the exciting day of stalking Harry Styles, me and my family (which make up of me, my dad, my step mum, and my three young brothers - Kieran, 14, William, 2 and Finn, 6 months) headed to the peak district. For those who dont live in England and don't know what or where the peak district is, it is a national park based in the north of England!

The Peak District is a beautiful place, surrounded by rolling hills and cows it provides breathtaking views for miles on end. As me and my brother Kieran, both live with my mum in the south of England and my other brothers and my dad and step mum live in Saudi Arabia, it was nice for us all to see a different part of the world!

Also as my youngest brothers, Will and Finn both have never seen cows before, it was an extra special trip as Will was absolutely fascinated by the Mooing four legged creatures!
Sunset Selfie!

William with the "Moo's"
I couldn't have asked for my summer to start off in a better way as i was surrounded by my loved ones who i don't often see and beautiful weather and scenery. I even managed to sneak in a cheeky selfie or two whilst i was there!

If you ever get the chance to visit the peak district, please do! Its a beautiful part of the world and you wont regret it!

My Summer: Stalking 1D!

Hello Blogasphere! I'm back, again.
Over the summer, I've taken time out of the internet and tried to focus more on my studies and my loved ones around me. By doing this, my whole mind set from how i think and communicate myself and how i manage my time and this is a main reason why my ever so small blog has died for a little while.

This summer has been incredible and i think has been one of my most memorable summers to date. I was able to experience amazing things, surrounded by the people i love being around, and that in itself is just fab. Over the next couple of days or weeks, i will be making a series of blog posts about all my experiences, as writing my whole summer in one post would be extremely long to read. I've done a brief post called "summer" which touched on the topic of stalking Harry Styles before, so if you would like to check that out, then feel free to do so, this post will have similar information but in much more depth! Hope you enjoy!!

I broke up from sixth form around the 20th of July and thats where it started. The same day i broke up from school i suddenly found myself on a train up to Cheshire to see my family for the first part of summer. Firstly visiting my uncle in Cheshire created an opportunity for some celebrity stalking. As a proud directioner, i obviously knew of Harry Styles upbringing around cheshire in the ever so cute town of Holmes Chapel. My uncle, happens to live 4 Miles from Harry Styles family home. So by gathering up troops of my female cousins and convincing my dad to drive, we headed to Homles Chapel. As my dad was not too happy about what he thought was "wasting petrol" we didnt actually leave the car. BUT we drove past the bakery where Mr. Styles previously worked and drove past his family home, i was extremely excited and there was many "feels". Unfortunatly, due to this, i was too excited and forgot to take any photos and my dad (who had put up with one too many screams) refused to take me back :(

look out for my next post of my summer series!

Half face make up

Recently, on YouTube, Nicky - one half of pixiwoo - did a video on doing half face make up to really compare how different products bring out the features in your face. So I thought I would give it a try and these were the results -

These results were actually quiet shocking for me as it shows how much shape make up gives anyone's face and how much imperfections can be easily covered to boost someone's confidence. I've never been confident in my own skin and would always put on make up to go to the shop or to pop out for 5 minutes, just in case I bump into anyone I know. So putting myself out there on the big wide web with no make up on can be seen as quiet terrifying for me, and I need to change.
From now on, I'm going to try and be more confident and let my skin breathe from underneath all the make up. Wish me luck.

Nyx haul

Until 2 days ago I believed that NYX was only available to the US and was extremely jealous when youtubers such as Fleur De Force rave about some of their products and I wouldn't be able to get my hands on them without paying a small fortune for postage and packaging. Recently I discovered the UK site and the summer sale NYX was hosting. I also discovered the tale that some nyx eye shadows are great dupes for mac eye shadows.

In the image to the right, you can see the shadows and blushes I purchased from NYX from left to right they are 'desert rose blush', 'suede' eye shadow, 'Sahara' eye shadow, 'eucalyptus' eye shadow and finally 'sparkle white' eye shadow. According to www.makeuptalk.com all these shadows are dupes of macs popular eye shadows.  As of yet, I don't own any of the mac products that they are meant to dupe so I cannot compare. However so far, these shadows seem highly shimmery and pigmented. As I use them, I think I'll be doing a review on how well the products work. Hopefully all goes well.

Eos sphere lip balm review

I've been unsure about reviewing this product because so many people, celebrities and beauty bloggers included have raved so much about it. I bought my eos lip balm, expecting wonders, for my lips to be the smoothest they've ever felt and I would be sat wondering how I've ever lived without this product as people such as Miley Cyrus and The Kardashians constantly tweet about their lips balms.
Yet somehow I kind of feel disappointed in this lip balm. Apart from the shape, I see the eos lip balm as an average lip product. The novalty of the shape of the product soon wore off as I put the product to my lips, after discovering that the eos was pretty average, the smell of the lemon flavour soon put me off. For UK readers, the best way I can describe it is the same smell as the lemon flavoured fairy non-bio washing liquid. It smells like I'm putting soap on my lips.
Not sure if its just this particular flavour, but if anyone would like to experience the eos lip balm first hand. Don't get the lemon. Get the mint instead, at least that one apparently smells nice. I leave you with my best impression of Kim Kardashian or Kylie Jenner.

My 10 favourite lip products

okay, so recently I've been sorting and organising my make up and realised that I have many lip products and thought my 10 favourite would make a good blog post, so off we go.

These are in no particular order as I can't pick my absolute favourites but out of my collection these are my favourites.

1) my first is the Rimmel Apocalips and I have it in the colour 101 celestial. These lip stains/lip glosses have been raved about by many bloggers and youtubers! They are highly pigmented and last for ages and as a bonus are available in most drugstores at a really reasonable price of £5.99 (which is what I paid). The only disadvantages to this product is the smell. Anyone who has tested these products or the Rimmel lipsticks will recognise the distinctive smell of the products. The smell is very sweet and if over used, can make me, personally, feel a little sick. But this is only my personal opinion. Apart from that the formulae and lasting finish of the Apocalips lip lacquers is impeccable. Also a disclaimer with this product is, as it is also a stain, be very careful when applying it because it can stain skin!
2) my second favourite is my darkest lip colour I own! Lipstick 160 by Barry m is a dark cherry colour. Wearing this product makes anyone's teeth look whiter due to the blue undertone and lasts for ages! I recommend anyone to use it with a liner as it can tend to bleed but apart from that it is great. At a price of £4.49 from superdrug it's a great product and I recommend to any brunettes.
3) my next favourite of all time is a lip balm famous for solving dry lips! Burt's bees lip balm is a great lip balm which solves any dry lip because of its natural ingredients. I originally bought this because my mum kept nagging at me to buy a lip balm with natural ingredients instead of products such as Vaseline which have a ingredient in them which helps makes your lips addicted to the product without solving any issues. Some may say that £4.19 is a high end price for lip balm but I think it is completely worth it! In the UK Burt's Bees are quite hard to find but the supermarket waitrose does a wide range of Burt bees products
4) my next product is the first lip gloss of all my favourites and the most unknown product. For Christmas my sister bought me a Lula and Belle make up set, which included a wide range different make up products. Honestly, I had never heard of them before but I have fallen in love with their lip gloss as you can tell, the clear colour has turned into a peachy colour. The thing i love the most about it is the smell as it has a sense of vanilla which could be a subjective taste for some people. I don't know the retail price of this lip gloss but if you can get your hands on it I fully recommend you get it.

5) this lipstick from Rimmel was one of the first lipsticks I bought for myself. It's a beautiful coral pink colour perfect for summer and is easy to wear casually! It's part of the Kate moss collection within the brand Rimmel London. However, similar with the Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers the only disadvantage with this product is the smell which can have a tendency to be quiet sickly! But for around £5 it is great price for the formula.
6) this is my only lip product from topshop and I love it, hence it is in my favourites. I've never gone for such a bright orange colour and was a bit sceptical at first but the colour known as "covet" is a very subtle colour for summer. the fact that it is a lip "bullet" makes it so much easier to carry round in a hand bag is just a bonus too. Some may argue that £8 is too much and some dupes could be found, but I wouldn't trade it even though it doesn't have the best lasting finish, it's a great substitute to a nude.
7)my next 2 favourites are high end products. My first is the Clinique long lasting gloss in the colour Cabana crush. I got this particular gloss in a sample size with another product I purchased. The current retail price in the UK is £16 which I would defiantly pay after I've now tested this product out. It claims to last 16 hours which i don't quiet believe but it is very long lasting! With a hint of gold shimmer and a smooth and not sticky formula this product could be easily worn on its own as the pink pigmentation is also very high! So anyone considering purchasing a new lip gloss! Go for this one if all the things I've listed are the things you look for in a lipstick
8) my second high end product is also by Clinique and is one of their "different lipsticks" in the colour angel. The formula is a sheer glossy red which is once again very long lasting. As you may tell from the packaging, this lipstick is very well loved and it has its reasons! At a retail price of £17 this lipstick has lasted me a year and a half and It still has life still in it and I'm going to use every last piece.

9) These last 2 lip products are my 2 newest things on my list. This first lipstick is named "Saturn" 606 by NYX and has a slight hint of shimmer to compliment the peachy pink. The formula of the lipstick is also very nice, smooth and moisturising. At a retail price of £5 and a sale price which I bought it at of £3 I think this is an absolute bargain.
10) finally, my last favourite lip product is also by NYX and is fairly new. This colour "frosted beige" is similar to the previous colour "Saturn" I just mentioned however his colour is more peachy and less pink with more shimmer to it. I also got this lipstick, just like the previous one, in sale at £3 but the original retail price is £5. Also similarly, the formula is smooth and moisturising and strongly recommended.
So there we go, my 10 favourite lip products including lipsticks, lip stains, lip balms and lip glosses. Hope this was fine and not too long winded for anyone who wants to read. Please follow if you want to see anymore reviews or recommendations. My next post will be reviewing the eos lip balm!

Summer

Haven't made a blog post in a while, this is due to the fact that since the 19th of July I've broken up from school for summer! Since then I've been with my dad in the Peak District, tried to stalk Harry styles' family in Holmes chapel and been to work. From the 20th - 27th of July I got to visit my dad, step mum and my brothers whom I never usually see because they live in Saudi Arabia. During this time I stayed in the Peak District and visited my uncle who lives in Cheshire. As a one direction fan I took this opportunity to make my dad take me to Holmes chapel. It's a beautiful little town however we had no luck finding the styles family, don't really mind because then I would have felt like a major stalker.

Whilst we were in the Peak District as one of my younger brothers has never seen cows before he was completely obsessed and would wake me up every morning to go and find some "moo's"
Had a great time with my family and my baby brothers! Cannot wait for the rest of summer to come along!
